Vector GFX: Quality Assurance Program Overview
At Vector GFX, we are committed to delivering high-performance, stable desktop solutions. Because our software resides directly on our customers' local environments, our Quality Assurance (QA) program focuses on rigorous pre-release validation to ensure reliability and peak performance across supported operating systems.
1. The "Zero-Defect" Release Standard
We maintain a strict quality gate for all production binaries. Our policy ensures that no software version is cleared for distribution with known high-severity defects:
Severity 1 (Critical):
Any defect causing application crashes, data corruption, or total loss of primary functionality.
Severity 2 (Major):
Any defect impacting a significant feature where no reasonable manual workaround exists.
The Policy:
Vector GFX does not ship any release with known Severity 1 or Severity 2 defects.
2. Manual Testing & Validation
Our current QA methodology relies on a structured, hands-on approach to ensure human-centric quality:
Functional Testing:
Every new feature is manually validated against its technical specifications to ensure it performs as intended in a local desktop environment.
Full Regression Testing:
Prior to any release, our team executes a comprehensive regression suite. This involves testing existing features to ensure that new code changes have not introduced side effects or broken legacy functionality.
UI/UX Consistency:
We perform "pixel-perfect" visual checks to ensure the interface remains intuitive and stable across different screen resolutions and scaling settings.
3. Environment & Compatibility Testing
Desktop software faces a variety of hardware and software configurations. We mitigate risk by:
4. Peer Review & Code Integrity
Quality begins at the source. All code written for Vector GFX undergoes:
