Vector GFX Privacy Policy

Vector GFX Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 10, 2025

Last Updated: February 25, 2026

We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of the information you provide to us. Vector GFX, Inc. (“Vector GFX”) will not sell, rent, lease, or disclose customer information to third parties unless required by law or unless you provide consent for such a disclosure. Other terms of Vector GFX’s privacy policy are as follows:

Our "Zero Access" Commitment to Your Data

No matter which licenses you use—Standard or Air-Gapped—Vector GFX does not have access to your proprietary company data, drawings, or intellectual property. We do not "see" your work. Our visibility is strictly limited to administrative metadata necessary for licensing and support, as outlined below.

Information Collection & GDPR Compliance

When you engage in activities on our websites or within our products—such as ordering or registering products, downloading trial software, requesting technical support, or subscribing to publications—Vector GFX may ask you to provide information.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process this data based on:

  • Consent: For marketing and newsletters.

  • Contract: To fulfill orders and provide software access.

  • Legitimate Interest: To ensure software security and improve performance.

By submitting information, you are consenting to Vector GFX’s collection and use for these purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Website Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics, Google AdWords Conversion tracker, and other services that place cookies on your browser. These help us increase website effectiveness. These cookies are set and read by Google. We use AdWords remarketing to serve ads on third-party sites after you visit our website.

In compliance with GDPR, you have the right to accept or decline non-essential cookies via our Cookie Preference Center which will pop up when you enter the site.  You can set your preferences there.

Standard vs. Air-Gapped License Privacy

How we handle usage data depends on your deployment type:

  • Standard Licenses: We collect limited administrative data, including user name, email, and login timestamps. We also track aggregate metrics (number of installs, workspaces, and file counts) to improve our products.

  • Air-Gapped Licenses: For high-security environments, we offer an air-gapped version with zero "call-home" functionality. In this version, Vector GFX has no visibility into your usage. We do not see usernames, emails, or logins; we only maintain the name of the designated "Gatekeeper" (License Administrator) for the account.

How We Use Your Information

Any information collected will be used only by Vector GFX to:

  • Improve our products, services, and websites.

  • Communicate with you by phone, e-mail, or newsletter.

  • Verify licensing and authorization status.

Trial Software Activation

A valid e-mail address is required to receive trial unlock codes. If you enter a trial period, we may contact you to provide product information, survey your satisfaction, or provide notice of trial termination. E-mail is our preferred method of communication.

Product Purchasing & Online Orders

Information requested during purchase will be only what is necessary to process the order (name, email, address, and telephone).

  • Online Orders: Fulfilled by FastSpring, an authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. FastSpring uses industry-standard encryption.

  • Payment Security: Vector GFX does not store your credit card information.

VectorID (formerly CanvasID) Activity

When using VectorID services, login information is passed to our secure server including connection time, IP address, application ID, product version, and license number. This is used to present relevant content and ensure the software is an authorized copy. Most information is neither unique nor traceable to your machine, with the exception of the IP address (necessary for the connection) and the Application ID (constructed from a GUID).

Security of Your Personal Information

Vector GFX takes the protection of your personal information very seriously. Data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access. Information passed via VectorID is protected with encryption, specifically Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. We may hire outside contractors (e.g., for customer support or shipping) who are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access, Correct, or Delete your personal data.

  • Object to or Restrict certain processing.

  • Data Portability (requesting a copy of your data).

Privacy Issues, Concerns, and Correcting Information

At any time, you may review, correct, ask for a copy, or remove any personal information by contacting:
