How to Uninstall Canvas on Mac

Overview:  Here are steps to uninstall Canvas on your Mac

Applies To: Canvas Draw, Canvas X Draw

Steps to Perform:
  1. Delete Canvas Draw from the Applications folder.
  2. In the Finder, choose the “Go” menu > Go to Folder. Type ~/Library as seen below and click Go. This will immediately take you to the Library Folder on your Mac.   
  3. There are two areas in the Library folder where Canvas Draw settings files are kept. First in Preferences and then in Application Support.
  4. Open the Library folder and then open Preferences. Inside, locate the any Canvas-Draw plist files (e.g. com.canvasgfx.Canvas-Draw6.plist) and drag to the trash. If you see any other Canvas-Draw plist files, please delete as well.

  6. Click the back button so you are in the Library again.
  7. Now open the Application Support folder. Drag the entire Canvas GFX folder to the trash.

  9. Empty your trash.
  10. Re-start your Mac after deleting these files.
You can now re-install an existing version or new version of Canvas Draw/Canvas X Draw, if you need to.
